A new chapter: become a monthly sustainer
We're launching a campaign for monthly recurring giving — and sharing what we've quietly built: a fourth access fund, a growing research incubator, and a clearer path to make legal psilocybin care affordable for everyone in Oregon.
We've been quietly busy.
Alongside refining the work you already know, we've built new initiatives — all in service of one belief Sheri held close: that profound healing shouldn't be a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. Today we're ready to share what's new, and to ask for your help in the most powerful way we can: by becoming a monthly donor.
01 The ask
Why we're going monthly
A one-time gift is a moment. A monthly gift is a promise. Recurring support — even $10 a month — changes what's possible for a small foundation. It lets us commit to people before their journey begins, sustain research across seasons rather than scrambling grant to grant, and say yes more often when someone reaches out in need.
It's the steadiest, most powerful way to help us extend something Oregon has never had at scale: a statewide sliding scale for psilocybin care, so cost stops being the reason someone goes without healing. If this work means something to you, become a monthly sustainer today.
Not having the money for it should never be the barrier to greater health.

Four funds, one sliding scale
Our access funds remove the financial and logistical barriers between a person and legal psilocybin therapy in Oregon's regulated model. We're glad to share that there are now four — including a brand-new one.
Psilocybin Access Fund
Helps people from underserved communities afford psilocybin therapy. It's our statewide sliding scale — to date, 481 applications and $674K issued or earmarked.
Learn moreCommunity Leaders Resilience Fund
Supports nonprofit, government, social, and spiritual leaders approaching burnout — with help for facilitation, lodging during journey week, and preparation and integration mentorship.
Learn moreInward Dive Fund
Led by Henry Fields, this fund supports previously incarcerated and justice-impacted people — those formerly incarcerated, their loved ones, and people working within the criminal justice system.
Learn moreSoul Liberation Fund
Our newest fund — for individuals facing addiction and those who have experienced homelessness, opening a path to deep healing for people who too often fall through every other gap.
Support this fund03 The Research Incubator
Real-world evidence, growing fast
In 2024 and 2025, we funded and helped organize the nation's first collection of real-world research inside a legal, publicly available psychedelic-therapy model — studying psilocybin care as it actually happens, for real people, in the real world.
That incubator keeps expanding. It's anchored by ORCHID, now led with UC Berkeley's Collaborative for the Economics of Psychedelics and UCSF — and more projects are coming online. Our incubator exists to turn ideas into ethical, fundable, measurable studies, especially where commercial incentives fall short: Who gets access? What does care cost? What outcomes actually follow?
04 Give your way
You choose where your gift goes
One of the things we're proudest of is that your generosity is yours to direct. When you give, you can send your support to a specific population you care about, to one of our four access funds, or to our research incubator.
And if you're willing, you can help with the thing that's hardest for any nonprofit to raise: unrestricted support — the funding that keeps our small-but-mighty team doing all of the above. Just choose monthly on the donation page and add a note, or email info@sherieckert.org about recurring gifts, donor-advised funds, or gifts of stock.
None of this happens without people like you. Whether you give $10 a month or $100, whether you direct it to a fund, our research, or our team, your monthly support is what turns a good year into a durable mission.
Striving to be of service,
— Nate, Lorena, and the SEF Team
